Dustin Smith, a 6'1'' junior 2-guard was the star of the night as Eastern Hancock beat Centerville 72-57. He lead all scores with 27 points, including 7 "3" pointers. He showed the ability to knock down shots out to 25 feet even while being tightly guarded. As he continues to improve his shot selection and ball handling he could turn into a low D1 prospect.
Also, Matthew Schauss, a 2011 point guard from Centerville was impressive. After a slow start, Schauss flirted with a triple double finishing with 15 points 8 assists and 7 rebounds. He has greatly improved his jumping ability and quickness since last season, and still has a sweet outside stroke. I believe that he could also be a low D1 prospect.

Eastern Hancock vs. Centerville
I am about to head to our first game tonight against Eastern Hancock. This game features a couple of talented players, including Dustin Smith, a 2011 two-guard prospect from Hancock, and Bradley Siegel a 2010 from Centerville. I am anxious to see how Smith has progressed since last season's Sectional Game. The sharp-shooting guard often struggled with shot selection, and could have used some more muscle, I will have an update on him after the game. Also, here at Centerville, we expect big things from Siegel this year. After a summer season were he put his name on the map, he looks for a eye-opening start to the season.
