For Hancock, Dustin Smith, a 2011 sharp-shooter, was a little disappointing. He fought foul trouble, fouling out with 3 minutes to go in the game. He scored 13 points and made 2 3-pointers. Smith still needs to develop a better game off of the dribble to become a more well-rounded player. He would be a great pick up for a D3 school.

Centerville vs. Eastern Hancock
The Royals of Eastern Hancock (1-0) overcame getting out-shot, out-rebounded, and a -5 turnover margin to capture a 55-51 victory over the Bulldogs (0-1). Centerville's Matthew Schauss, a Bethel College commit, led all scores with 22 points. He also added 5 rebounds and 5 assists. Schauss displayed his ability to get to the rim and finish, along with knocking down to 3-pointers. Deondre Hudson, a 6'6'' 2012 prospect added 18 points and 10 rebounds for Centerville. The transfer from Illinois displayed great athleticism and he finished very well around the basket. Hudson will need to add more post moves and a mid-range jump shot to his game in order to reach his full potential, last night most of his scoring came off of offensive rebounds. With the proper development he could become a solid D2/NAIA prospect.
