Centerville vs. Northeastern

This was an overall ugly game. 23 turnovers by Centerville (1-1, 1-0), 20 by Northeastern (2-1, 1-1). Centerville came out on top with a 55-32 victory. The Bulldogs have much more talent and were able to just out perform NHS in a helter-skelter type game. Centerville picked up the defense pressure in the second half, allowing only 12 points after the break. Senior guard Matt Schauss, a Bethel College recruit, led the 'Dogs with 18 points and 9 rebounds. Junior forward DeAndre Hudson did not have the offensive impact that he had in the first game of the season, yet made his defensive presence felt with 3 blocks. I am anxious to see how he progresses throughout the season.

Tonight Centerville travels to Franklin County.
