Weekend Wrap

This past weekend was pretty busy in the basketball recruiting circles as 3 prospects made their college decisions. The biggest news would have to be the commitment of highly sought after Lawrence North Guard Eron Harris. The 6'3'' PG/SG chose West Virginia University. After Wisconsin pulled their offer last month, Harris was down to Dayton, Loyola, and Evansville. Then, Coach Bob Huggins made an in-home visit and extended a scholarship offer. Harris had a huge summer AAU circuit which really put him on the radar of some high-major schools.

Other commitments include...

6'6'' PF/SF David Heckman of Roncalli H.S. committed to Division II Lewis University. Fellow Roncalli teammate Ryan Weber will be attending Youngstown State next year.

Keith Cochran, a 6'10'' Center from Bluffton H.S. verbaled to the traditional NAIA powerhouse Bethel College.

Lawrence North PG Petey Balls received his first Division I scholarship offer from Northern Illinois this weekend.

Danny Mulvaney, a 6'6'' Forward from Bethesda Christian H.S. picked up an offer from Division II Palm Beach Atlantic University.

Penn H.S. 2013 prospect Leo Svete told me that he had a great visit to Wisconsin this past weekend. He has visits planned for the next 3 weekends as well, Ball State, Northern Illinois, and Virginia Tech will all have the 6'5'' Shooting Guard on campus.
